I grew up as an athlete working everyday on improving my skills (basketball, baseball, football, running track and playing golf). I loved to compete and spend time with my teammates, being a part of something bigger than myself. Sports will lift you up and knock you down all in a matter of minutes. It will make you stronger mentally and physically if you can push through the pain.
When I was a sophomore in high school my life took an unexpected turn. I found myself married with a child, emancipated, living in government housing, surviving on two minimum wage jobs, washing dishes and on food stamps. That was not what I had envisioned when I thought of becoming an adult.
I am passionate to share my life's journeys, helping students cope, and push through their pain in their life. My vision is to impact kids to make good decisions and have the confidence they will need to make their dreams a reality.
Thank you for coming to our school and telling us about your life story. Your story showed us that we can overcome hard challenges even if it may seem hard or impossible. Thank you for helping our community and being someone we can count on. Thanks you for telling us to live our best life and we can overcome challenges. As an athlete your story is important to me and stood out to me. I think its really special that you kept your head up through all your trials. Having a baby young can't be easy at all, and your story definitely scared me strait! lol Its so inspiring that you didn't give up and you kept working to support your family. I also run track so its cool you host the meet. Thank you for being an inspiration and sharing your story.

Thank you for coming and speaking for us. I appreciate that you went out of your way to come to our school and share your story. I thought it was very inspiring and crazy that you managed to deal with all of that at such a young age. I think what I got from your story is to be careful and responsible, and also to mind what I say to others. Thank you for coming and sharing that message.
